Gina Hernandez joins the CCSRE team!

CCSRE is proud to announce the appointment of Gina Hernandez as the Interim Associate Director of Chicana/o-Latina/o Studies. Gina brings to the role a wealth of experience. An undergraduate alumna of Stanford with a B.A. in History, Gina also holds an M.F.A. in Creative Producing in Theater, Film and Television from the University of California, Los Angeles, and an M.A. in Liberal Arts from Stanford University. She is the former Executive Director of the Institute for Diversity in the Arts (IDA), and was for several years a resident fellow at Casa Zapata.
As Interim Associate Director of Chicana/o-Latina/o Studies, Gina will teach a course in the Progam on visual and performing arts and community-based and public art in the Latina/o community. She will also head up our ongoing search for a permanent AD for the Program. Finally, Gina continues her work with IDA and runs the Arts Intensive Program through the Office of the VPUE. We are thrilled to have Gina on our team!
