Research in the Real World: showcasing partnership research for change-making scholarship on race, ethnicity, and inequality

Produced in collaboration with the Institute for Advancing Just Societies, Research in the Real World is a special edition of the CCSRE Faculty Seminar Series – a cornerstone of the Research Institute's annual programming. Through facilitated discussions between faculty members and their community partners, this new winter quarter series highlights their collaborative research and its tangible impact on issues related to race, ethnicity, and inequality.
Join us next month for two lunchtime events:
February 12: Regenerating Indigenous Education Through Community-led Projects, featuring Megan Bang (Northwestern) in conversation with her community partners, Jasmine Gurneau, Fred Harrington, and Anna Lees, and moderated by Alfredo J. Artiles, Faculty Director of the CCSRE Research Institute.
February 19: Increasing Engagement and Decreasing Crime in San Francisco, with Forrest Stuart (Stanford Sociology) in conversation with his community partner, Lena Miller of Urban Alchemy, and moderated by Tomás R. Jiménez, Faculty Co-Director of IAJS.
