Hien Do
Professor Hien Duc Do received his PhD in Sociology from the University of California, Santa Barbara. His primary research interests include Vietnamese American communities, race relations, the development of Asian American communities, and the impact of religion on immigration. He is the author of The Vietnamese Americans (Greenwood Press, 1999), an associate producer of "Viet Nam: At the Crossroads," (PBS, 1994), numerous articles, and he is currently working on a manuscript with colleagues at the University of San Francisco on the impacts of religion on immigration. He is the past President of the Association of Asian American Studies (2000-2002). Dr. Do is often sought after for interviews by national newspapers and television stations.
