Jenna Przybysz is a Ph.D. Candidate in Ethnomusicology. Her research explores the politics of music festivals and cross-cultural music collaborations in Poland. Broadly, her work engages with how music and sound produce different social, political, and racial meanings for individuals and communities of listeners, and how these meanings come to be associated with particular music genres.
Prior to Stanford, Jenna was an active musician on the Chicago music scene and continues to perform today. She earned a B.M in Jazz Studies from DePaul University and a M.A. in the Humanities from the University of Chicago.
