Jerry (Reid) Miller

J. Reid Miller is Associate Professor of Philosophy and Comparative Literature at Haverford College. He received his PhD in History of Consciousness at the University of California, Santa Cruz, where he was a University of California President's Postdoctoral Fellow as well as a Ford Fellow.  He is the author of Stain Removal: Ethics and Race (Oxford, 2016), which examines the historical co-development of modern theories of value and race. He specializes in ethics, the philosophy of race, poststructuralism, and African American intellectual history.
