Laia Bonet

Laia Bonet is the Deputy Mayor of Barcelona for the 2030 Agenda, the Digital Transition and International Relations. Since November 2020, she also chairs the group of European cities working for a fair urban digitalization - the Eurocities' Knowledge Society Forum. Ms. Bonet holds a Law degree and has been full professor of administrative law at Pompeu Fabra University, as well as a professor of communications law at Blanquerna University. Prior to her role in Barcelona's city government, she was Secretary of the Government of Catalonia (2007-2010) and member of the Catalan Parliament (2010-2012), where she was deputy spokesperson for the Socialist Group.
