Marjorie M. Hahn

Marjorie M. Hahn is a Ph.D. student in the Curriculum Studies and Teacher Education program at the Graduate School of Education (GSE). She is also pursuing a Certificate in Research Practice Partnership and a Ph.D. minor in Comparative Studies in Race and Ethnicity. Previously a high school teacher, Marjorie strives to integrate practical teaching experience with educational research to address equity and effectiveness in mathematics and teacher education. Her current work is supported by a Stanford Graduate Fellowship. 

Dedicated to field-shaping work, Marjorie actively contributes to her community through rigorous research, dynamic teaching, and proactive service. She teaches in the Stanford Teacher Education Program (STEP) and has served as a teaching assistant for the Department of Education and Counseling at Villanova University. Passionate about fostering impactful changes, she aims to benefit educators and students alike in mathematics education and beyond. Marjorie has notable experience in community-building and conference program management as the Senior Director of "SWAYWO: So, What Are You Working On?"–a student-run research conference within the GSE. She prioritizes inclusivity and equity as an emerging scholar and educational leader, working to advance programs that support graduate students' academic and professional growth, especially those from underrepresented backgrounds. 

Marjorie holds a B.A. in Secondary Education and an M.A. in Education, with a concentration in Teacher Leadership, from Villanova University. She is passionate about teaching and learning and considers growth an integral part of her daily practice.
