Project title: "I bo la chi? The Afro Culture Kids Digital Multimedia Toolkit"

Project description:  This summer, I worked with Afro Urban Society to collaboratively create a multimedia toolkit for community members in the Bay Area. Afro Urban aims to create and cultivate immersive spaces for members of the African diaspora to learn about who they are through various cultural programming initiatives. One of their initiatives is a multi-week Pan-African summer camp, Afro Culture Kids Camp, with the mission of educating kids of the African diaspora about their heritage and history.

In the duration of Afro Culture Kids Camp, I was tasked with documenting activities through written and recorded means, capturing interviews of community members as well as supporting lead facilitators in the day-to-day operations of camp. there were also several opportunities to lead my own activities wherein I shared aspects of my own cultural practices with the kids participating in the summer camp.
