Stephanie Fischer
Stephanie Fischer (she/her) is a Ph.D. Candidate with the Behavioral Decisions and the Environment group under Dr. Gabrielle Wong-Parodi. In partnership with community-based organizations, she is interested in community-led solutions that help build adaptive capacity and climate justice in Bay Area frontline communities. She is also interested in the ways culture and identity are important to center in disaster and climate adaptation efforts to achieve holistic well-being and climate-just outcomes. Stephanie's methods are grounded in community based design research (CBDR), interdisciplinary social science, and critical environmental & climate justice frameworks. Stephanie is also a Research, Action, and Impact through Strategic Engagement (RAISE) Doctoral Fellow, and holds a B.A. in Music Composition & B.S. in Earth Systems from Stanford University.
