I bo la chi? The Afro Culture Kids Digital Multimedia Toolkit

Abstract

This summer Meseret Berhane focused on developing a digital platform that centers on African joy and creativity. This multimedia toolkit was made to encompass a variety of components including audio and video recordings of community members and visual art in collaboration with graphic designers. This project aligns with the mission and initiatives led forth by Afro Urban Society in that it prioritizes accessibility in the arts by creating a platform for those across the African diaspora. Meseret followed a flexible timeline from a brief provided by her mentor to ensure there was structure to her self-direction regarding the final deliverable (a digital toolkit).
