The Center for Comparative Studies in Race & Ethnicity (CCSRE) is Stanford’s hub for interdisciplinary research and teaching on race. Through its Academic Programs and its Research Institute, the Center explores how race and ethnicity shape global history, undergird our social systems, and touch every aspect of our lives. The Center offers a vibrant calendar of public events and offers undergraduate degrees in Comparative Studies in Race & Ethnicity, Asian American Studies, Chicana/o-Latina/o Studies, Native American Studies, and Jewish Studies, as well as a Ph.D. Minor. CCSRE also supports faculty networks, research publications, training, policy engagement, and public education on diverse topics including art, criminal justice, artificial intelligence, and inequality.
