In conjunction with Professor Charlotte Fonrobert's course "Milk & Honey, Wine & Blood: Food, Justice, and Ethnic Identity in Jewish Culture," we are thrilled to welcome award-winning author and chef, Michael Twitty, to Stanford. Twitty is the recipient of the 2022 National Jewish Book Award for Koshersoul: The Faith and Food Journey of an African American Jew. He will serve as this year's Jewish Community Federation and Endowment Fund lecturer and will share his experiences and thoughts on being Black and Jewish through his personal journey with food.

Co-sponsored with African and African-American Studies and the Center for the Comparative Study of Race and Ethnicity at Stanford.
