Chana Lanter is a junior studying Linguistics and Philosophy & Religious Studies, with an interest in Semitic languages, social epistemology, and the Late Antique and Early Modern periods; she hopes to do comparative work in Jewish and Armenian Studies. She was born and raised in Los Angeles, where she advocated for public education with the teachers union. Chana is active in the Jewish community (both at Stanford and off-campus), and is passionate about bringing progressive causes to Orthodoxy. She loves baking, embroidery, and very long walks. She hopes to help expand CCSRE’s reach to students of all disciplines.
