Christine Xiong

Christine Xiong is a third-year Ph.D. Candidate in English from Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada and Changsha, Hunan, China. Her work focuses on the transpacific ocean passage and the (dis)intimacies that form between Asian diasporas through transoceanic movement. In thinking with transpacific worlds, her work moves through oceanic studies, Asian American and Asian diaspora studies, and world literature. She serves as a Graduate Student Coordinator for the Stanford Humanities Center Research Workshop Postcolonial Spatialities, the GradLife Coordinator for the Stanford Asian American Activities Center (A3A), research assistant for Stanford Global Studies, and the co-chair of the English Graduate Student Council.
