Raquel Navarro Calara

Raquel Navarro Calara (she/they) is the Student Services Officer at the Center for Comparative Studies in Race and Ethnicity. Raquel's role at CCSRE is to process undergraduate major declarations, organize events for majors, send emails about opportunities, track major requirements, and clear students for graduation. 

Raquel holds a Bachelor of Arts in Social Welfare with a minor in Public Policy from the University of California, Berkeley. As a first-generation college student from a low-income, immigrant background, she dedicated her time at UC Berkeley to community organizing and student leadership, with a focus on increasing educational opportunities and representation for students of color in higher education. With extensive experience in community organizing, activism, and non-profit work, Raquel is deeply committed to supporting and empowering students from diverse backgrounds to succeed in their academic and professional journeys.
